Key Features
- The geometrically shaped grooves of the plate, combined with the powder, allow you to quickly and correctly flatten the surface of sharpening stones.
- The set includes one bottle of medium powder and one bottle of coarse powder.
- Choose the proper surfacing compound depending on the grit of the stone that needs to be flattened. Each powder gives a different finish.
- Use the coarse powder for #320 or less grit sharpening stones. The medium powder is suited for #500-3000 grit stones. You can use the fine powder for the stones higher than #4000 grit.
- You can also use them on sharpening stones that are not from Shapton.
Use & Care
- Wash it well after each use and dry it thoroughly before storing.
- Saturate the sharpening stone with water before using it.
- When you use different powders, wash the plate and the sharpening stone well with water beforehand.
